Ashley Waye is a founding partner of Kith & Kin LLP. Prior to opening the firm, Ashley articled and practiced at a prominent family and estate law firm in Toronto. Her current practice focuses on all aspects of family law.
Aside from her dedication to the practice of family law, Ashley is also committed to her community. Ashley was an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Women Lawyer’s Forum (“WLF”) for the 2013-2014 year. She is continuing her commitment to the WLF as the 2014-2015 co-vice chair. Ashley also assisted in the development of The Walsh Family Law Moot, Canada’s first law school moot (simulated court case) focused on family law. Ashley was an avid mooter herself when she attended Osgoode Hall Law School and has continued to contribute to Osgoode’s mooting program as a coach.
Ashley has a diverse international background, having lived and studied in Germany, England and Canada. Her varied travels have left her fluent in three languages, including English, French and German and she has experience representing overseas clients who require French-speaking counsel.
In addition to her dedication to her law practice, Ashley curls out of the Royal Canadian Curling Club and competes on the Ontario Curling Tour. Until she opened her law practice, she was the owner of a seasonal clothing boutique, August Moon, in Muskoka.
